Slacking!

I've currently run out of prepaid so well.. I'm taking a slight break!

Thing has happened and I'm not currently in Arisen anymore. A few people has started a new guild called Azure dream and when I'm back I will probably join them in their quest to be a Raidingeventpvp-guild or something along the lines of that.

My time in Arisen has been long and tbh, awesome. We've had alot of great moments together and It's a shame it ended up like this. Sometimes shit happens and moving on is the best thing you can do, so that's what I'm doing! To the Ariseners, all of you, Thanks for the time we had together, I wish you all the best of luck!

Tonight me and the Azure Dream crew will have a nice coffee session here in Stockholm, will be lovely. Might put up some pictures if I manage to find the wire to get the pics into the computer!

Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza!

Ladies and Gentlemen. I woke up today with a sudden urge to participate in the STV Fishing extravaganza. My first time so I went to El's anglin to read up some on what I could expect. There was a part about "war" and ganking so I decided to call upon some great PvP'ers and friends of mine to come and guard me and to try to prevent both alliance and horde to fish properly.

Coldheaven, a good friend and guildie of mine arrived first, helping me to scout for new pools and killed every horde in sight. Then Lewb and Zuckinator of the Horde forces arrived to help out killing my fellow alliance players. To that druid, that tried to fish in my pools, I'm sorry mate. I wanted to win and I did, cant have you steal my tastyfish!

Overall, great event (Yes, it was probably more great cause I won but still), and I can with joy say; This is something I'll never do again.

Great thanks to Coldheaven, Darlene, Lewb and Zuckinator. The master plotting on IRC worked like a charm.

AV - How to enjoy it

Well its AV weekend right now and I ventured into one alone due to boredom and found myself defending the base. Went into hall of stormpike and found 2 people named Hangedbyme and Mirodia from Stormscale and we chatted abit and transformed eachother into ghosts. Just wanted to give them a big /hug and say that I hope I meet more good people in AV from now on!

Karazhan - New event boss -

So yeah, as a part of the event and invasion of the Scourge a new boss has spawned in Karazhan. Went with Darlene and Bob and some of Darlene's guildies from the Brotherhood just a while ago (What can it be, 45 mins ago or so?).

Anyways, We killed him after one wipe (Due to confusion about what he actually did) and a Minipet in the form of a bat dropped, aswell as an Axe called Arcanite Ripper. I rolled 98 and won it. Now, there's a secret with this axe.

It has a secret use, if you equip it and right click the icon it will turn you into an Undead playing guitar. Looks awesome! Guess I was amongst one of the server first to get it, so It's still very new!

Awesome, nevertheless!

Now, doing Headless Horseman! Wish me luck, need Hallowed helm and ofcourse I wouldnt say no to the mount either!

300th post!

Just realized I've made 300 posts so far. Thought I'd celebrate by giving myself a pat on the back and say thanks for all the visitors and comments and emails Ive been getting.

Went on some Oldschool raids tonight, was alot of fun. Got a nice old healingmace from Chtun and some rep from Molten Core.

Hallow's end has gone slightly better then before. We only had one squashling drop in our group so far but I got one out of a Crudely wrapped gift some days ago and Darlene got one out of a Trick or treat bag so we only need 2 more and then the group is set.

Been editing some articles for the Arisen times that should come out shortly, will be a very good issue with alot to read. I will also add my article here when it has been released!

The Zombie events have started and half the server seems to be plotting against eachother, blowing auctioneers and other people up and into fellow Zombies. I've been staying out of it though, as I dont really see the charm in it. There's also been rumours about an additional boss in Karazhan that is supposed to have something to do with the event, and ontop of that there's rumours about a new subzone being added in Deadwind pass. We'll see, but it sounds very interesting!

50 Mount - Achievement for the Alliance

So as the people who read here know, I've completed the 50 mount achievement. Alot of people ask how I did it, and while it might sound easy, it has taken alot of grinding and 6 reputations to exalted.

Let's start with the basics.

If you are a Paladin or a Warlock, you have the 2 classmounts.
Stormwind Exalted allows you to buy 7 Mounts (One is exclusively bought at Menethil Harbor).
Ironforge Exalted allows you to buy 6 Mounts.
Gnomeregan Exalted allows you to buy 7 Mounts (Only available to Gnomes and Dwarves).
Exodar Exalted allows you to buy 6 Mounts.
Darnassus Exalted allows you to buy 6 Mounts.

So that is 7 + 6 + 7 + 6 + 6 for Gnomes/Dwarves = 32 (+2 for Warlocks and Paladins).
And 7 + 6 + 6 + 6 for others = 25 (+2 for Warlocks and Paladins).

Kurenai Exalted allows you to buy 8 Talbuks.
Netherwing Exalted allows you to buy 6 Netherdrakes (I only bought 2 of these).
There's 5 PvP mounts (One that is gnome/dwarf only as with the other striders).
There's one Stormpike battle charger.
There was 2 Brewfest rams (I have them both) and 1 Brewfest Kodo.
There's also the Winterspring Saber if you can bother grinding that.

Buying the Cheap flying mounts might be a good idea aswell.

So there's a little heads up atleast. I managed to get my 50 with around 2000g and alot of preparation. If you arent Exalted with the factions you need that might be a good idea to go for.

Also check in on wowwiki's mountpage for some more information, if you are horde or want to know where you can get the mounts from. Its a big project but in the end that Albino Drake is so worth it.

Also, avoid the Cenarion Gryph if you're poor. You can get so many nice mounts for that money!

Ding 31!

Dinged my mage to 31 yesterday, and just before that I went and got her a mount that is exclusively obtained by going to wetlands. A black horse! It's nice and pretty and the run speed comes in handy while leveling (Running through STV is pain without a mount).

I also got a "Poly Penguin" glyph on her now and I have to say, its absolutely gorgeous. I wish there was something equally fun to paladins but I have no idea what that would be really.

Anyways, been doing Headless horseman 7 times a day-ish since the event started. I've seen 3 helms and a shitload of rings, no mount, no pet, no sword, no plate helmet. No nothing. Basically, a shitload of nothing. I need to get Sinister Calling finished, or no Proto-drake for me...

It's been a long time ago(Pre-tbc and t2 anyone) since I saw someone that looked so similar to me that I actually stopped up and took a screenshot of the madness. This time I was on my druid and the other person was a priest I think. Same staff, blue cloak, same-ish hair. HELLO LOOKALIKE!

Hallow's End

Hallow's End has started and everyone is up and running throughout half the world to visit buckets for achievements. I've coordinated the buckets with exploration in the last couple of zones I needed to explore and I have currently fully explored Outlands, Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms. Still need a couple of buckets in Eastern Kingdoms but I'm gonna do that now to get it over with.

The problem is getting the 20 masks, but frankly. There is NO WAY that I will be able to complete that. So I guess that I wont get my title, unless they decide to remove that one. I've heard all over the forums etc. that they will remove it this upcoming maintenance and I truly hope that will happen.

Working on an article for the Arisen Times, should be done by tonight. I'm looking forward to readin the other ones aswell.

Fishing Raid to Orgrimmar!

So me and Darlene and Quii went to Orgrimmar last night to get some of the fishing achievements done. After a while 2 hunters randomly joined us, and after that a warlock and 2 guildies of mine came there too. So we grouped up in a raid and fished together for the lulz. Got the "Fishing Diplomat" achievement done but the rarespawn only dropped to one of the hunters, and none to the other of us. But then again, It's MAJORLY rare so I didnt expect any of us to get it tbh.

Also, Hallows End has started. Did Headless Horseman with a 4 man team early this morning (Around 5) and have done half of the achievements already. I truly do hope they will remove the 20 mask one as it seems to be next to impossible.

Will probably do some oldschool raid with Scorpion and the rest of the people, I guess it will be AQ40! Managed to finish Blackwing Lair last night aswell, but didnt win any of the Judgement pieces. Shame, really. As I really consider that set to be the best looking one ingame!

Another oldschool raiding night!

Doing another raiding night with Scorpion and the gang of usual people that tend to come along for stuff like this. Will probably do BWL later, was quite a while since I was there (Well, I got full Tier 2 so I've been there my fair share, but still. Fun to go back!).

Standing and waiting for someone to douse a rune at Majordomo in MC, attempting to summon someone right now so it should probably be soon!

Also I'm working on a small project considering Stormreaver guilds. We got alot of good and big guilds so I thought I'd do something on the forums for the blog! More bout that later!

Patch - What's new with me?

So, the Patch came some days ago and I havent written at all. So.. here it goes!

Stormreaver was down basically all day wednesday, not to my surprise though but i frankly feel sorry for the people who take their day off work to check out the new content. Its so well known that the servers rarely work instantly, and especially not Stormreaver with our excellent trackrecord of lagging.

So!

Currenly Lonnie :

- Is Ambassador and Jenkins, titlewise.

- Has obtained Stinker, that you get from getting 50 vanitypets (well, frankly I got 55).

- Has obtained the Albino Drake, that you get from getting 50 mounts (Now got 51).

- Have completed 170 achievements with very little action from my side.

- Managed to finish the Skettis bombing quest in under 2.15 min.

Patchday mayhem!

Sup guys?

Downloaded the rest of the patch, drank my honey milk (Got a sore throat, eww) and then I attempted to log on. Well, the new starting page is nothing new to me, being in beta and all. Nevertheless. It's gorgeous and I love it.

The realms are still down so I'm reading some forums. Wanted to go for a walk but its pouring down outside right now, so I skipped that. So now it's me, my forums and a good book.

I started preparing some more for patch yesterday, gathered up over 50 pets from banks and mail etc, and got some mounts from different vendors. Dont have 50 mounts yet but its on the incoming, the pets on the other hand are safe and sound where they should be so i expect to get my Skunk as soon as i get on.

I've been writing about the guy who multiboxed himself up to high ratings in Arena before and thought I'd continue the multiboxing obsession. Cause frankly, I found it highly amusing to watch their setups.

Anyways, this guy is named Prepared, he spends 5711 $ a year in subscriptioncosts, he will spend around 1500 $ for 36 copies of WOTLK on release day.

Blizzcon - My favourite highlights

So I guess alot of people have heard that Blizzcon just ended some days ago (or so) and I realized I havent really written anything about what I think about it.

Watched some of the live stream arena games and some of the Q/A session but got slightly bored and did something else instead. Well, I've read about it now and I thought I'd summarize some of the stuff i consider to be my favourite highlights! It's very brief but meh, I really cant be bothered going through all the class stuff right now. I like general stuff instead of class specific news (At most times, unless it has something really awesome to do with Holy paladins, then I'm all ears!).

Q : We keep hearing about a World of Warcraft movie. Any info you can give us on that?

A : Yes, it is confirmed that they are working on a movie and the script is purported to be "really good" but they cannot go into more detail for business reasons, more to come on this.

Q : Indoor movement is extremely limited, with no mounting or shapeshifting inside. What changes are there going to be for this with Wrath?

A : Blizzard stated that, exclusively here, all ground mounts will NO LONGER dismount in water and will now swim. They didn't elaborate on swim speed or anything but this was met with much cheering and clapping. I guess all those puddles finally taught mounts how to swim.

Q : As it becomes easier to be a hybrid, how do you protect the viability of the "pure" dps classes, such as hunters, rogues and mages?

A : Blizzard states that they going in that as they made hybrid more viable that would hit their utility. Warlocks, hunters, mages and rogues were hardest hit by this since they are designed for DPS so additional utility has been given to them. Bear in mind that these classes are still designed for damage and will always do more damage than a hybrid to some degree. For example, a good rogue should almost always be up near the top of the damage charts.

So there! Some of my favourite highlights amongst the questions, the one about the movie seems promising, aswell as the one with swimming mounts!

Over 20k Visitors since 8th of may!

I just checked the blog to see that my visiting numbers had skyrocketed to over 20.000 hits since May 8th this year. That's.. Amazing to say the least.

Stormreaver PvP Event - Today everyone can be like Karvapallo

The PvP event was a major success when it came to numbers of people who wanted to participate. 7 Alliance raids was up and we gathered up in Lakeshire to start our march against STV -> and then boat to Ratchet were we expected to meet our friends and foes, The Horde.

Well.. We reached Darkshire with ease, gathered up there and went along for STV. Some horde cities were taken over and we then went for Booty Bay. THIS is where the madness began. The boats are known to bug when there's too many people going on them and this time was not an exception. Frankly. Half the raids got stuck on the boat with loadingscreen but laggy and .. clever as I am, i took a portal to Theramore and went on from there to Barrens and then on into Durotar. Again, lag lag lag. World server down, Stormreaver Offline. Next time we'll plan some attacks on different cities or something cause this sure doesnt work as it should!

Was fun nevertheless, thanks to everyone who participated and lead raids!

Stormreaver World PvP Event : 12th of Oct

Been lurking around on the forums some today and remembered some guildies had been talking bout a World PvP event that some people from the server is organizing. Thought I'd promote it some myself and see if that could bring some more people :

will be organizing a PvP event called “Today everyone can be like karvapallo (TECBLK)”, a special occasion designed to promote world PvP. This will be a huge PvP event spanning the width and breadth of Kalimdor. More details will follow, but all players of all levels are invited to participate, and raiding guilds are encouraged to participate.

Time: 5pm (Stormreaver server time) (INVITES @ 4PM)

Hey ladies and gents, back with some more Beta stuff. This time I've managed to copy 3 premade 80 characters, a Paladin, a DK and a Hunter. Thinking about if i should copy a Rogue or a Druid as my last of the 4 copies but I'll decide that later.

As the premade paladin is a PvP geared character I decided to check out the new Battleground : The strand of the ancients. The map is posted above and I got to say its pretty much confusing when you enter it for the first time. In the beginning you're at a boat going into shore with the other alliance players. The horde is already on the beach appareantly. It's all about defending gates etc depending on what side you're on. You take turns in defending/attacking and then somehow the score is counted together and the most successful team wins (Or atleast that's what i got out of it). I love the siege weapons, you use them to bomb the other teams gates.

Won the first time and got into a draw with the horde the second time. It gets boring quick so I'm not sure how much i can bother doing it tbh. It's fun if you have a fun team and if the horde know what theyre doing but then again, this is beta. Running around like headless chickens is default!

Most people know I've been into wow-art/figures for a long long time. I've linked some wallpapers and artists before that I've really enjoyed the work of. Got these images shown to me earlier and I got to say theyre absolutely breathtaking. My favourite is the three I've put up here.

The way he creates these images is for me very interesting, as I'm somewhat interested in digital art etc. Basically you take a SS of your character and then he remakes that image to what is seen above. For more info click the link and press About.

So! My Lonnie has gotten herself a Kodo! Gotta say, its smaller then expected. But nevertheless, looking really awesome. Brewfest is over, so I'm waiting anxiously til next years event! What might come? Another brewfest souvenire(If not im gonna get sadfaced), and hopefully a new brewfest minipet. What else.. Well, no new mounts please. The Kodo made me sad. Almost impossible to get. Atleast having alts payed off for once!
